I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Master’s Level Social Worker with extensive experience providing mental health therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families in home, school, community, telehealth, and outpatient settings. I offer individual, family, and school‑based counseling for concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral issues, ADHD, oppositional behaviors, family conflict, and stress related to life transitions. I bring excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a solutions‑focused, goal‑oriented, trauma‑informed approach to clinical practice.
For nearly a decade, I have worked as an In‑Home Therapist within the Massachusetts Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI), conducting functional behavioral assessments, developing individualized behavior plans, and using evidence‑based interventions to reduce problematic behaviors and improve family functioning. I regularly collaborate with parents, youth, schools, outpatient providers, and multidisciplinary teams to support emotional regulation, social skills, and positive family communication. My experience includes in‑home and in‑community services across multiple agencies, consistently meeting documentation, productivity, and clinical quality standards.
I have also served as a Clinician in Substance Use Disorder / Medication‑Assisted Treatment (MAT) and Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) settings, where I complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, intake evaluations, and risk and crisis assessments, and provide individual psychotherapy for clients struggling with addiction, co‑occurring mental health disorders, and trauma. I coordinate closely with medical and psychiatric providers to ensure integrated, client‑centered treatment planning, safety, and continuity of care.
In school‑based outpatient work, I maintain a regular student caseload, provide individual therapy, involve families and collaterals when clinically indicated, and collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and administrators to support students’ emotional, behavioral, and academic success. Earlier professional roles in Puerto Rico—as a Social Worker in the Department of Education and through multiple internships with justice‑involved populations, retirement homes, and community agencies—strengthened my skills in case management, psychoeducation, socio‑educational workshops, group interventions, and interagency collaboration.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Inter‑American University of Puerto Rico, Metropolitan Campus, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and Humanities with a concentration in Criminology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, Ponce Campus. I am licensed at the Master’s level in Connecticut, certified in CANS (Commonwealth of Massachusetts), and trained in CPR/First Aid/AED. I am enthusiastic, cooperative, and dedicated to empowering diverse children, teens, adults, and families through culturally responsive, strengths‑based, client‑centered care, with a commitment to evidence‑based practice, trauma‑informed treatment, and collaborative teamwork.
