“I’m Bryan Rosa, a Licensed Art Therapist Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) and published author specialized in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, emotional regulation, and creative approaches to healing. I work with children, adolescents, and young adults who may feel overwhelmed by their emotions, disconnected from others, or misunderstood in traditional settings. My goal is to create a safe and expressive space where clients can explore who they are and develop tools to navigate life with greater confidence and self-understanding. In our work together, I focus on helping you (or your child) build tools for attention, coping, and self‑expression so life feels more manageable and authentic.
I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, and my cultural background is central to how I understand connection, resilience, and community. My approach is warm, relational, and culturally sensitive, honoring the impact of family, culture, and environment on how we experience stress, identity, and healing. Before becoming a therapist, I served in the military, which deepened my respect for discipline, identity, and the complexity of human resilience and transition.
As someone who is neurodivergent and lives with ADHD, I bring both professional training and lived experience into the therapy room. I understand what it’s like to struggle with focus, emotional regulation, and feeling “different” in school, work, or relationships. Therapy with me is not cold or overly clinical—sessions can be creative, curious, and sometimes even playful, while still being grounded in clear goals and evidence‑informed care.
I am also a member of the LGBTQ+ community and strive to create an affirming, inclusive space where clients feel respected and seen for who they are. I welcome LGBTQ+ youth and young adults, neurodivergent clients, and those navigating questions around spirituality, culture, and personal identity. I value the role that spirituality and culture can play in healing and am open to integrating these parts of your life into our work if they are important to you.
As an art therapist, I integrate traditional psychotherapy with creative expression such as drawing, painting, and other visual media. You do not have to be “good at art” for this to be helpful. Art can give shape to feelings that are hard to put into words, making it especially powerful for kids, teens, and young adults who struggle to express themselves or feel shut down in more traditional settings.
Outside of therapy, I’m a self‑described nerd who loves coffee, painting, and reading. I’m always exploring new ideas and learning something new, and I bring that same sense of curiosity and openness into the therapeutic process. Together, we will work to understand your story, build on your strengths, and create practical strategies so you can move through life with greater confidence, self‑understanding, and emotional balance.
